Both of us wanted to travel more than our budgets and calendars allowed, so we worked out how to do it properly and wrote down what we found. This site is the result. It is less a travel diary than a record of what we learned about making travel easy, economical, earnable and sustainable — and how to make full use of every visa period we are granted.
I am Arunkumar, a business consultant and lifelong traveller. When I travel I study how places actually work — the cultures, the businesses, the policies and the people. Each trip is a chance to learn something I can use, and to check whether the advice I read beforehand held up.
I founded Infomatics Business Intelligence to turn that research into practical work: business consulting, startup strategy, educational consulting, career development and public policy.
On this site, that becomes the research half of what we publish — the visa fine print, the cost tables, and a straight answer on whether a destination is worth your leave days.
Most people can manage one big trip. The harder question — the one that stops people before they start — is what happens once the savings run out. That is the problem I work on.
