Budget Reality
Coastal high season (July–Aug) doubles prices; in June or September the same seafront rooms drop to ₹2,000–3,000. Byrek (stuffed pastry) breakfasts cost ₹80. Furgon minibuses connect everything cheaply.
Visa for Indian Passport Holders
Visa required for Indians — with important exceptions
- Indians holding a valid multiple-entry Schengen, US, or UK visa (that has been used at least once) can typically enter visa-free for short stays — this is how most Indian travelers visit.
- In recent years Albania has announced seasonal visa-free entry for Indians during summer months — this changes year to year, so verify for your travel dates.
- Without those, apply for an Albanian visa through the official e-visa system.
- Carry proof of the qualifying visa, accommodation, and funds; land-border officers do check.
