The Gergeti Trinity Church against Mt. Kazbek is the Caucasus postcard. Marshrutkas from Tbilisi run all day.

Family wineries pour qvevri wine with lunch for a few hundred rupees. Book a homestay in Sighnaghi.

Budget-airline hub with canyon and cave day trips — often the cheapest way into the country.
Budget Reality
Guesthouses with breakfast from ₹1,500, khinkali dumplings at ₹40 apiece, and intercity marshrutkas for ₹300–600. Wine is cheaper than water in some restaurants. We're only half joking.

- Apply on Georgia's official e-visa portal; processing usually takes around 5 working days.
- Indians holding valid visas or residence permits of certain countries (e.g. Schengen, US, UK, UAE) may enter visa-free — check the current eligible list.
- Immigration commonly asks for hotel bookings, return tickets, and proof of funds — have them printed.
- Rejections do happen at the border even with an e-visa; a clean, well-documented file matters here more than most places.
